  • Coleco HM # 1 has no dimples, and is most often seen in the early Coleco CPK's made in 1983 and 1984.
  • Coleco HM # 2 has 2 dimples and a longer nose. This is a common head mold.
  • Coleco HM # 3 has one dimple on the left cheek.
  • Coleco HM # 4 has 2 dimples and a removable pacifier. These are considered more valuable.
  • Coleco HM # 5 has 2 dimples and a single front tooth. This was a common mold in twins. Some # 5 molds come with retainers.
  • Coleco HM # 6 has one dimple on the left cheek, a removable pacifier, and a wider face than the # 4 mold.
  • Coleco HM # 8 has a wider face with a dimple on the left cheek. This head mold has larger ears, and most came with glasses.

    These head molds are generally worth more than newer head molds.

  • Eye Colors :

    Cabbage Patch Kids have been produced with a variety of eye colors. The most common ones are blue , green , and brown , but some were made with violet eyes.


    Hair Styles :

  • Loops- hair consists of 1 inch loops throughout.
  • Shag- hair consists of 1 inch straight hair, shagged like a shag carpet.
  • Fuzzy- hair feels and looks like fur on a stuffed animal.
  • Ponytails- single and double with loops for bangs.
  • Braids- tied with ribbons, loops for bangs. Most have 2 braids, but some were made with one.
  • Popcorn- hair is tightly curled, like clumps of popcorn. Usually have ponytails. This style is very valuable.
  • Poodle- a full head of loops with one or two ponies.

  • Abbreviations used for dolls:

  • MIB- Mint In Box, the doll is in like new condition and in the box.
  • NRFB- Never Removed From Box, meaning the doll and papers and clothes have never been removed from the box.
  • HTF- One of the more rare types and more valuable.
  • MOB- Mint Out Of Box, the doll is in like new condition but no box.
